Grizzly & Wolves Consume Carcass in River
On a foggy early morning along the Yellowstone River, a grizzly bear feeds on the carcass of a recently dead bison drifting against bank as a grey wolf waits its turn. Watching closely, other members of the pack lingered, waiting patiently for the bear to leave. At one point, the bear even stood upright on the carcass, with water streaming of its fur before settling to feed again. Eventually, the grizzly left to bed down giving the wolf his chance to move in on the meal.
