The Wapiti Pack swims the Yellowstone River to feed on a dead bison that had fallen from battle injuries on the valley floor. The alpha pair and 6 others fed while 4 younger members of the pack played nearby, with 12 wolves appearing in total. As evening fell, a large grizzly had claimed one of the bison's legs that was dragged to the river, chasing the wolves through the shallows and swatting up water before finally departing at sunset.
