A black bear sow emerges from her spring den with two newborn cubs of the year, one cinnamon and one black, experiencing the world for the first time. The cubs stay close, nursing and wrestling with their mother while using her for warmth and protection against the lingering cold. As curiosity grows, they begin attempting to climb a nearby tree, marking a major developmental milestone.
